Best Female Solo Artist

Gold Winner Mo Kenney

Silver Winner Ria Mae

Bronze Winner Amanda Riley

Dartmouth resident, writer of heartbreakers and ripper of solos Mo Kenney has had a full year, as usual, picking up four Music Nova Scotia awards, followed by the US release of her second album In My Dreams. Last week she filled the Rebecca Cohn to capacity for a performance with Symphony Nova Scotia. She’s recently begun LP number three with Joel Plaskett. Today she got her car’s oil changed. There’s lots happening. “It’s pretty awesome to have the support here. Every show I play in Halifax is awesome because people always come out,” says Kenney. “I really love Halifax so much, and it’s nice to have that love reciprocated.”
