The venerable Ardmore takes home Best Diner honours yet again. The early, early 4am opening makes it a natural breakfast place for those late, late, nights. Those great fishcakes and beans, or a few crispy slices of bologna are good for what ails you. It’s cheap, clean and it’s got a character all it’s own. Get there early to hear the cabbies talk about weird fares; it’s entertaining. I’m told there are regulars that have three meals a day at the Ardmore, probably for the conversation as much as the food.
