I’m not responsible for any of it, but I have a team of 90-plus people who hustle day-in and day-out,” says Joël Chiasson of the news that the Mic Mac Bar & Grill—an institution in its own right—is the winningest winner of the 2017 Best of Halifax awards thanks to its classic cuisine, and no frills vibe. “Our number one goal always is to serve quality product,” says Chiasson of the Mic Mac experience. “We don’t do anything fancy like a lot of new restaurants. We’re very much a meat and potatoes place—but we try to put out the best meat and potatoes possible.”
