It’s a clean sweep for the Halifax South Downtown councillor: Four for four for Waye Mason as Best Councillor over his first term in office. That’s a nice cherry on the post-election sundae, after he won a second term last month with 60 percent of the vote. It’s a “huge honour,” says Mason, who fully admits he doesn’t expect the streak to continue next year. “I am grateful to accept this award for the last time before Lindell Smith starts winning it.”
