Sipping on something stiff from Field Guide is a always a safe bet. And it’s just as much about the TLC as it is the booze at this intimate north end gathering spot. “Because we are small—both the space and our team—we can really experiment a lot, it allows us to be dynamic and to be able to keep up with what is happening in the cocktail world while also very quickly responding to our guests,” says co-owner Ceilidh Sutherland of the work her team and head bartender Adam MacLeod put into making each mix magical. “We have a very collaborative process when writing our menus and we have a super engaged team. We are constantly talking about what we each enjoy drinking, what is happening with cocktail culture globally and talking openly about our ideas.”
