Gold Winner Symphony Nova Scotia
Silver Winner King's Chapel Choir
Bronze Winner Rhapsody Quintet
It’s hard to look at a Symphony season and not find something that catches your ear—so far this season, Matt Andersen and Ria Mae have sold out the Cohn three times between them (and the orchestra), with an upcoming slate of Tchaikovsky, Brahms, Motown, ABBA, the annual Nutcracker show and Mozart’s “Messiah” for the first time in 15 years. All before January. “What really makes me excited,” says SNS’s CEO Chris Wilkinson, “is when I stand in the lobby and see all these different groups of people coming to see Symphony concerts. “That’s kind of my goal, where there’s going to be something for everybody.” With a core orchestra of 37 musicians, SNS is well-positioned to continue to offer up more of your favourite experiences. “Our goal is to provide concerts that make the community happy,” says Wilkinson. “We’re thrilled to feel that response.”
