Best Cafe

Steve-O-Reno’s Cappuccino, 1536 Brunswick, 429-3034

Note to self: Do not go to Steve-O’s for secret rendezvous with lover. It’s a little place, one small room and a tiny two-table patio, with no place to hide and everybody seems to show up there all the time, swilling smoothies or soy lattes. The yellow walls change tint with the sun. The tables are all small with purplish-brown plush chairs; good for a (not too private) chat or writing in an angst-ridden diary.

Runner-up: Uncommon Grounds, 1030 South Park, 431-3101

The price of everything has more or less gone up including heating oil which means staying warm this winter is going to cost you more. What are your ways to try to cut down on heating costs?
