Bicycle Thief bartender Jeffery Van Horne has been mixing drinks for five years, and still loves every minute of it. He says, “It’s not just about making good cocktails but offering a superior experience.” His favourite request is for a martini Sazerac, a whisky cocktail similar to an old fashion that tends to “surprise a lot of people,” due to its complex flavours. Despite being readers’ favourite face behind the bar, Horne is adamant about giving credit where credit is due: “It’s a combined effort of all the bartenders at The Bicycle Thief that have worked so hard and we just want to make our guests happy.” Doesn’t get much better than a modest man who knows how to make a stiff drink.
