The Ecology Action Centre has been around for an eternity in grassroots organization years---since 1971---and if Haligonians’ abiding love of cycling and recycling are any indicators, the EAC has been doing its job real well. Winning gold in this category for eight years straight, the Centre relies on a huge network of volunteers and passionate employees to bring awareness to issues like green transportation, coastal and water issues and local food action.
