What do you get when you take a strange and brilliant piece of writing and put it in the creative hands of a strange and brilliant group of theatre artists? SBTS’s Alice in Wonderland, of course! This production will leave you grinning like the Cheshire Cat (played by Sébastian Labelle, whose manic smile had people convulsed with laughter) The music is tight (I’d buy an album by the four harmonizing cards), the writing is better even than last year’s stellar Robin Hood and the laughs just keep on coming. Tom Gordon Smith was born to play the role of the enfant terrible Queen of Hearts and Riley Raymer makes a pretty, perfect Alice. Adults will revel in the many pop culture references and kids will be enthralled by the non-stop action. Great theatre for everyone! Cambridge Battery, Point Pleasant Park
