Halifax-based, internationally-visited online shop Alexa Pope is all about girl power. As a trio of businesswomen with backgrounds in fashion, business and photography, these style mavens believe in following your dreams, finding your passion in life and seeing your vision come alive.

Marianne Thompson, Melissa Marchand and Lauren Wambolt of Alexa Pope will be hosting a pop-up shop at Bishop’s Landing (1475 Lower Water Street) on May 9th and 10th, from 10am-6pm, to celebrate their brand's second anniversary. This follows a string of successful, similar events all over Halifax and Moncton. As an online store, they are thrilled to be able to interact with their customers IRL and to draw in a new crowd.

Thompson says this is a great event for young entrepreneurs, specifically businesswomen. “We have been given a chance to show young girls that if you have the desire to start your own business it is a very possible goal to obtain.”

Loads of new products will be showcased at the pop-up shop, plus there'll be tax-free merchandise during the entire event as part of Open City.
