It's unfortunate if Nova Scotians don't understand the value of NSBI. Without the payroll rebates mentioned the well paying jobs such as those discussed would not have existed in the first place. Global competition for technology and financial service jobs is fierce. Every province, state and country vies for them. What NSBI offers is merely table stakes to stay in the game. CGI, NTTData, Citco and Admiral Insurance, to name a few, understand the value of these rebates relative to setting up shop in Nova Scotia and creating good jobs here. Mr. Bousquet would be a better journalist if he offered both sides to this story...not just one.
