Where's a break-down of the candidates??? You do a report card each year on performance but nothing before hand to inform voters?

    Re: “The housing crisis
Landlords are just passing on costs to the renter. Property tax, house prices, utilities and deadbeat renters, are all expenses that must be recouped through rent. I know landlords who have kept rents low only to get burned by low life tenants who destroy the units.

    Re: “Drivers
Hilarious dude, the "circ" speed limit is 80, that means UPPER LIMIT. That person doing 75 is driving legally, while you on the other hand are speeding. You yourself exemplify the problems with many HRM divers: arrogance and aggressive driving. Go read the Driver's Handbook yourself.

You are making yourself look stupid due to your ignorance in regard to taxation and road funding. Gas taxes aren't used for paving, they go into general revenues, from which all aspects of government spend are sourced. Further, the cost of reliance on a car for transportation costs the taxpayer far more than any tax collected through gasoline sales. This is not even considering the cost of the environmental damage wrought by burning fossil fuels.

On the flip side, bike owners pay plenty of income, property and sales tax, far more than they would otherwise if they weren't subsidizing motor vehicle usage.

Next time do some reading before spouting off.

Anyone asking the question: Why were all these parking spots sacrificed for the benefit of bar owners who, with their patios, are extending their square footage onto public property??
