Sadly Nova Scotia has a massive alcohol based culture to begin with, And like attracts like, I drink occasionally, maybe every few months and have never had issues with it, but I used to go out more before I realized I just don't like bars at all, A lot of my friends still don't get this or understand how a crowded bar with 10 dollar doubles isn't my idea of fun. I can spend a $100 on things that will bring me a lot more joy. Best thing to do is take up hobbies, exercise or personal development and find like minded companions, Depending on your age some of friends will come out of that "downtown" phase and come back too!

Can't say I've ever had any of these experiences at Pt Pleasant, I always take the dog friendly trails, There is signs everywhere, I tend to be introverted and have anxiety, Dogs for the most part pick up on humans emotions and feelings, and I feel they seek out similar people to their owners, to help them bond with people. I had a dog on my street that escaped it's fenced in yard and followed me for several blocks, Whenever it would escape I would have it follow me back to its home, It was a young dog and not very obedient, but it listened to me. Her very introverted owners, always seemed very cool to me, I loved cars and they had these vintage diesel Mercedes cars, a refreshing change from the boring beige CRV's of my street, I ended up bonding with these people so strongly and found out they were a lot like me in so many little ways. Dogs just want people to make actual friends and be social, they like loyalty, I don't even own a dog and never have.

    Re: “Slumlord savings
Don't most grown up cities have like actual tenant rights? Or like standards or rent control boards? I don't think Halifax is past the whole image of apt=poor thing, It's really getting to be quite tacky actually. The concept of "you can afford it, so why don't you buy it" is strong here.

Fully agree and as a car fan, I apologize for these tools, I try to tell friends not to put the obnoxious mufflers as not everyone wants or enjoys hearing your Civic hit Vtec but it falls on deaf ears... It's also just a selfish rude thing to do and that goes for trucks and motorcycles too! Lots of people like cars, I love cars, However lots of people don't.... they matter too!

Well ya got rid of all the ashtrays in your crusade against smoking, which is dirty, disgusting and gross, true! But the fact is people are going to smoke whether we like it or not, so leave the ashtrays on top of the trash cans, The crusaders did this, not the smokers

    Re: “Lottery Frickit
No this is annoying as fuck, It's always a bunch of old fat fucks scratching and checking tickets while a line behind them waits to pay for gas, I had two old fat fucks in front of me a few weeks ago, they were both playing the games and one said to the other, Oh you go ahead I'm retired and the other said, Oh I'm retired too I have all the time in the world, Meanwhile we are waiting behind these old sacks of shit waiting to return to the rat race. Inconsiderate is being too fucking stupid to use a self checker for your lottery tickets... Boo Hoo... they've been around for what? 15 years now? I don't give a fuck if you rejected technology in the 80's and 90's, LEARN!!!

This is the stupidest bitch I've read in a while, K one Valentines Day, the roads were frigging awful, At my place of work, they paid for people to get cabs in, and the manager personally picked up employees in his company car who didn't have their own vehicles, Two, you can't order your employee to buy a car and if even if he did, Does he really want to risk sky high insurance rates, and possibly even severe injury for your lousy paying job? and for the record I have a Jeep 4x4 vehicle and I go to work even in the worst weather, but I only live ten minutes from work, and I'll admit its not smart being on the roads in that shit even if I'm good at driving
