Lamestreet, it sems to me your using circular logic to weasal out of talking to her. And she said at one point "Either they're kicking me out for not being a mind reader or they have a friend who needs my room" It seems to me that shes right, you may not be giving the room to a friend but your expecting her to be psychic. It sounds to me like she's being sincere, she had no clue this was coming. How would you react in this situation?
