I really feel for those of you working the cashier lines that are made to do this. While my response when asked is a polite "not today thanks" I am only saying that because I know it is not your choice.
What I would really like to do, is request to speak to the store manager and to tell him/her in no uncertain terms to fuck right off with this deplorable practise.
OP unlike the rest of these pathetic trolls, I AGREE with you. There are some seriously fucked up bouncers on the doors of a lot of these places. You know, dudes with the 42 inch neck, hepped up on steroids, and just itching to take a swing at someone. Probably the reason I rarely go to the bars anymore around here is because of the overabundance of assholes like the one you desrcibe.
I voted for Karsten the first time he ran and was soon sorry that I did. He was acclaimed at least once after that. I really happy to see Jackie run against him this time so we can tro da bum out!!!
I didn't know about the $$ raised, but OP does have a point. A good 'stache is fine, but I would be willing to bet that the 400 douches at the Palace all with a caterpiller on their lip, did not contribute a fucking dime to the cause.
I just hope they don't get any ideas next month for Douchember...
OP here... Situation 1: I did (politely) challenge the officer as he arrived on foot back to his vehicle just as I arrived (also on foot). This did not end well.
Situation 2: I saw vehicle arrive (no lights/no rush) and watched officer go into premises (grocery store) as I was arriving to do my grocery shopping.
Situation 3: I have seen police vehicles parked in this spot numerous times (same grocery store) and I can say with reasonable assurance that there is no emergency inside.
All situations were vehicles parked (not just stopped with officer inside). I DID take pictures on one of these occassions and e-mailed them to Tim this morning, as I would not know how to post them here.
Tim thanks for the legislation reference. I had actually searched for that, but couldn't find it. Have a nice day.
Unless they are going to build something worthwhile i.e. able to accomodate 25,000+ attendees, it is not worth spending another dime. This is yet another example of small town thinking by the big city wanabees in charge of the HRM...
I was a one time supporter of our mayor, who for the most part I thought was trying to do the right thing(s). But as I have watched this story unfold over the past few years, as well as witnessing some truly pathetic actions he has taken on behalf of HRM taxpayers, it has become increasingly evident to me that this is a man who is way out of his depth.

Bottom line, he has to go...
