It’s a sad day when the compilation series formerly known as X-tendamix has become more interesting than its tired counterpart Big Shiny Tunes. BST continues to assault and bore with whiny nu-metal songs by almost all male artists (half a dozen girls in eight runs, people), but MD is shockingly bang-on—songs just as played to death but, you know, fun. With hits by Beyonce, Justin, 50 Cent, Christina and Sean Paul, MuchDance is a whole year’s worth of guilty pleasure on one album. |
