I'm from Ottawa, and I DJ'd for the first time last year. It's always such a blast being at the centre of a dance party. I tend to play pop, feel-good disco and music from the early 2000s. Basically the soundtrack to a fun night at the roller disco. BAH-NAH-NAH will make you feel like summer is right around the corner. My favourite artists to play are Solange, William Onyeabor and Boney M.
DJ Fadzwa

In Halifax for 10 years now and DJing since 2011. I started out learning EDM but now I play mostly Afro-inspired music, having grown up in Zimbabwe. I play afro house, afro soca, afro punk, moohmbaton and some mainstream music from time to time. My favourite artists to play right now are Young Paris, Stella Mwangi and my guilty pleasure is "Sorry" by the Biebs.

I was born in Calgary, but my body and blood comes from Goa by way of Mumbai and Tanzania. I'm really inspired by the dance music that comes from all over the world, especially Africa, India and South America. I take any chance I get to drop Missy Elliott, Sean Paul or Erykah Badu, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder—and I drop secret dance floor gems from Georgia Anne Muldrow and Letta Mbulu.
