To the lady who asked me to lend her writing an ear on Wednesday in the Killam Library Atrium: You interrupted me while I was editing my final thesis submission, and at first I was reluctant to come over to you to listen to what you had to say. What you read to me was clear, confident and pointed out instances of abuse and discrimination that you have faced and continue to face in your workplace.
