Buses here suck. They’re impossible to understand or to predict, and it’s a nasty part of living in Halifax that we’ve all put up with for too long. Some hope appeared on the horizon earlier this year, when Regional Council requested the transit authority blow up their current system and look at a refocused, high-frequency transfer-based network. That plan’s since been scaled back some, and delayed into next year. But the former Metro Transit did find time to change its name to the bolder Halifax Transit. Hopefully next year, this will finally be off the list.
