Admittedly, there aren’t too many dedicated all ages venues in the city to start with, but the all ages scene is nothing if not inventive. Topping the list this year (and previous years) is the Pavilion, a devoted space for youth and a non-profit. They welcome volunteers, making the unassuming bunker-like box on the Halifax Common a great place to get started in the music scene. Look for an upcoming show with Protest the Hero on April 9, where the winner of last weekend’s battle of the bands will open the show.
