No matter if you’ve lived here for years or just stepped off one of the giant oceanliners filled with merry cruise-goers, the Halifax Waterfront has a knack for making you feel like it’s your first time in the city. Grab a Frito pie from a stand (not exactly traditional east coast fare, but we’ll let it slide), take any opportunity to step on that lovely spongey groundcover surrounding the Wave and have a wander. There may be people playing the accordion, learning how to salsa dance, playing beach volleyball, fishing off the pier (seriously are we allowed to do that?) or showing off their flashy motorcycle—but we’ll guarantee you’ll never be bored.
