Something’s cooking at the Old Triangle: The pub unseated last year’s winner Granite Brewery to take first place in the hotly contested pub food category. Halifax has a lot of great pubs, so what makes the Old Triangle your favourite? I chatted with some diners as they chowed down, and heard comments like “Atmosphere,” “Triangle chowder rules” and one rather tipsy endorsement of “Johnny, the best cook in town.” The Triangle’s also got a pretty inventive menu for a pub, along with classics like Irish stew and Shepherd’s Pie.
