I just want to work

Seriously Halifax, I'm fuckin' done. I have a solid resume and I'm not asking for the moon and the stars. I've even applied for jobs that pay minimum wage or not much more. I have gotten one call back out of about 50 applications I have filled out in the last couple months. I don't apply for things job that I'm not qualified for, I'm not shooting for a really high salary, I just want to keep bill collectors at bay. I REALLY don't want to take a $10 per hour job but I'm willing. I just don't think they want me. I'm overqualified. These places want people with no other option but to work in that type of position. For the last 12 months it's been like this, trying to get ahead. Even when I do get a job there's no security and companies will think nothing of firing someone if they're not where they want them to be at the 90 day mark, even if the person is making progress and had ZERO prior experience. Even people who have gone to school gotten training, all that stuff have had to leave or accept much less than they would get anywhere else, for the most part. Unless you want to work with the old and sick (far from everyone's cup of tea) there is no future here.  When you have someone who has been working his whole adult life that can't even get a job there is a problem. I can't wait to get the fuck out of here I HATE IT! —Halifax Sucks
