They say the water at Long Lake is some of the best in the world, if by “they” you’re talking about Coast readers and “world” you mean Halifax. Long Lake swimmers are a hearty dog-loving bunch where the pup-to-person ration is always skewed to the fluffy side. It’s the best place to wade in and cool off, and an even better place to teach your dog synchronized swimming while you make the trek from one end to the other (not recommended). Must-have Long Lake swimming accessories: arm floaties, underwater camera and an inflatable bone.
