To the guy who yelled WHOA! in that jovially sarcastic yet genuinely surprised and somewhat warning manner as I crossed through that intersection on my bike, I thank you, and I apologize. I should not have been so hasty, gruff and inconsiderate. You have the right of way and you took it the way I love, like all Haligonians do. I thank you, for reminding me that even a humble cyclist in this fair city can still be a menace to some. I am the wiser for having had our encounter, and genuinely abashed. —Blurty McBike
