Harbour Clean-Up

Halifax’s sewage treatment plants might not be up and running till the summer of 2006, but at least they’re coming. Ted Tam, Harbour Solutions project manager, remembers when he was an engineering student at TUNS in 1969 and people then were talking about the need to clean up the harbour. Now, 30 years later, he’s glad to see it happening. “I would vote it as the number one project,” Tam says. “If you look across Canada not that many places discharge raw sewage into the environment.”
