The Dingle: AKA Sir Sanford Flemming Park

Look across the Northwest Arm and you’ll probably notice the Dingle Tower, located in Halifax’s Best Underappreciated Park. Donated to the city in 1908 by the inventor of Standard Time, Sir Sanford Flemming, the Dingle boasts hiking trails through wooded areas and a grassy park beside a beach—but don’t go for a dip, unless you enjoy snorkelling in sewage.

1st runner-up: Victoria Park

2nd runner-up: Seaview Park
