Does anyone else find it freakin’ disturbing that female snails are growing penises thanks to chemicals in the Halifax Harbour? Or that each day the harbour takes in a shitload of wastewater---the equivalent of a 20-storey building? We should thank our lucky stars every time traffic gets rerouted on Lower Water during the construction of the new sanitation network, scheduled for completion by the summer of 2007. It’s predicted that within five years, there will be areas clean enough for swimming.
