There is no such thing as a "Chick Flick". I will tell you what you mean when you say "Chick Flick": you mean a film with a strong female lead, or a film with a number of women in leading roles. I am so fucking sick and tired of a lifetime of films with men in leading roles, living out lives and stories and themes deemed relevant by male writers. As a woman I have been expected to accept these films as simply "films". I have never thought of these films with male leads as "Dick Flicks" and all films with female leads as simply "films"... but maybe it warrants a flipping of perspective... —Tired of the Dick Flicks
