Today the province announced a mammoth, multi-vitamin booster shot for the tourism industry: An $18.2 million tourism restart package that aims to, according to a press release,"provide operators with new grant programs and marketing support as well as offering tourists more outdoor public attractions." Also part of the plan? Covering admission costs for all provincial museums for the months of July and August.
Yup, you can visit the likes of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, the Maritime Museum of The Atlantic or the Black Loyalist Heritage Centre *for free.* Call it summer lovin' (of learning). Call it the most fun you've had since you got your library card. Call it the only excuse you need to check in on Gus, the gopher tortoise who lives at the Museum of Natural History.
