Hot damn, it's Hot Jesus!

An inspired event from Art Cabaret combines paint, music and the lord himself.

Hot damn, it's Hot Jesus!
Art Cabaret's founder Peter Farmer takes on Jesus this weekend.

Music, art and Jesus? Sure, Jesus was a dreamboat, but how does he fit in with this lineup? Art Cabaret, the brainchild of painter Peter Farmer, essentially pairs live music with live painting (and live models!). With this being Easter weekend and all, why not carry through the theme? "We thought that at a time when folks are celebrating the resurrection of this much beloved human figure, let's also imagine that he was a stunning and physically beautiful man," says Aaron Collier, who'll provide the evening's soundtrack of remixes and original electronic dance beats. You can cut a rug as Farmer captures a a live model, posing as crucified Christ, in just two hours. Sounds heavy, right? Fear not, drag goddess Eureka Love and other guest performers will keep it light. And even better, you can take Hot Jesus home with you. Well, the painted version---it'll be auctioned off at night's end.
