Mufit Halef, owner of Mic Mac Tailors, sees himself as a master problem solver. People come to him from all over Nova Scotia—and beyond—to get him to fix the things others said they couldn’t. “When they come in and see the work is done,” says Halef, “it’s a gratifying feeling.” From wedding dresses that have already seen four tailors and need urgent help, to tiger’s fur coats that need new lining, Halef’s attention to detail—“unless it’s perfect I’m not satisfied”—means “no job is too big or too small” for him to exceed expectations.
