It’s all about the team for Jennie Dobbs, Morris East owner and now thrice a winner in this category. “This year I have two employees who’ve worked at Morris East for 10 years,” she says, shouting out Amber MacLean and Katrina Kenney—“and we have an awesome team. They come to work every single day wanting to make it awesome.” Dobbs says having staff who stick around helps the restaurant improve not just its service and product, but the longstanding relationships it has with the people who love pizza as much as they do. “The staff stay because the customers are awesome and the customers come back because of the staff.”
