Halifax pedestrians

I've been away from the fair city of Halifax for a couple of years now, and above all, I miss the pedestrian traffic. I can't believe how much consideration drops when you go one province west. Here, no one moves to offer you more room on the sidewalks, more than once I've been stuck standing in a snowbank because the two people walking toward me can't be bothered to walk single file for a few feet. I was recently back in Halifax and it was walking bliss, people always moved on to one side of the sidewalk, and I wasn't left feeling like a dog being pushed into the snow. I miss all you Haligonian amblers and your considerate ways, I hope I'll be able to come back soon. —Soggy Boots
