Skiing in Rossland, BC: a snowstorm spoils the view but not the proposal.

My fiancée proposed with 10 ft red letters on the side of a mountain; unfortunately a snow storm blocked the view!

Last spring, Todd took me backcountry skiing in Rossland, BC. All morning he was hoping the snow would stop, an abnormal request in a ski town! The previous day Todd had skied through the mountains with a dye pack to write a note in the snow and his efforts were covered, although he had photographed the evidence. When we got to the top of Mt. Roberts it was still snowing hard and visibility was poor, so Todd got his camera out to “show me the view”. What I saw was "SOPH MARRY ME" written in the snow with dye on the next mountain over. The next thing I knew he was on one knee with a black diamond ring he had custom designed.

We skied down the black diamond powder run as an engaged couple! It was quite the day!
