It’s a threepeat for Metz, a photographic fixture around town. Big gigs this past year include Halifax Pride, the city’s Canada Day concert at Alderney Landing and becoming Neptune Theatre’s production photographer. Despite the sweet assignments, Metz doesn’t slack off. “I still hustle as hard as I did the very first day,” he says. “In my industry, technology is always coming out and making what I do easier. The easier it gets, the less people are gonna want to reach out and hire an artist to do the job.” So you can bet he’ll be keeping himself in the running for win number four. “Thank you very much to my clients and the people of Halifax for your support,” he says. “You continue to help my childhood dream of being a full-time photographer come true.”
