Dear umbrella

Thank you for being pink and pretty and polka dotty and matching my rain boots perfectly. Thanks for not flipping inside out at all today even though the wind was really strong. A big thank you for being a rather small umbrella instead of a huge one like I see people carrying and for being a good conversation starter. If it wasn't for you I may not have talked to that hot guy who was walking home the same time as me even though he's lived next door for six months now and we have always smiled and said "Hi." When I asked him if he wanted to share you with me and he took my bag of groceries and we walked, pressed against each other to stay dry under you, it was the highlight of my day.
