This singer-songwriter venue opened its doors at the end of January. Between musician bookings and Retro at the CoHo with DJ Motlette, owner Mary Ann Daye says it's been a busy seven months. Keep an eye out for Amelia Curran, Kev Corbett, NQ Arbuckle and Justin Rutledge this fall.
Old Mill Upstairs
200 Wyse Road, 464-0123 (CD Heaven)
This brand new, all-ages punk venue is owned by Candace Redden (owner of CD Heaven) and Earl Joudrey (from Fight to Live Productions). Asked why she chose an all-ages venue on Wyse Road, Redden replies, "Because I'm lazy! I want to see live music and not have to go over the bridge."
The Paragon Theatre
2037 Gottingen Street
Open since April of this year, the Paragon is what occupies the old Marquee's space. Renovations have changed the entrance and the indoor setup, but the venue still works to attract musicians embarking on east coast tours. The building's also decorated with local artwork, and a new cafe is on its way with a full menu.

This venue double dips and serves as both a dance club and live music venue. Carolyn---who only goes by her first name---says Club 1668 caters to all types of entertainers and musicians.
