Once upon a time, my father ordered a Caesar in the United States. The server said, “Are you from up north? Like, far north?” You won’t get that sort of response at the Stubborn Goat Gastropub. Its Caesar means business without going over the top: no bacon, no kimchi and no oyster juice (it’s a thing). Perhaps it’s the Blue Lobster vodka that makes this drink extra special. One thing’s for sure, anyway—there’s no shortage of places to get a Caesar in Halifax, so having the best Caesar in town is an accomplishment.
