Re: “The Dome turns 30 years old next week

Wow great memories. As a sailor in the British Royal Navy in the 80s the Oregano was always the starting point for a run ashore. Great Pizza and a few beers before trying every cocktail The Apartment had on their board before ending the night at The Office (with a few more visits to bars in between but I forgot their names!). Great memories of Halifax NS l, one of my favourite runs ashore.

Re: “Liv B wants you to make dinner tonight

It's so easy and cheap to live vegan in this city. We really have no moral justification to keep paying for animals to die for our dinner plates.

Re: “Wheelchairs accessible

Although it looks like your list is long for accessible restaurants; are their rest rooms accessible too?

Re: “Garrison Brewing announces The Oxford Taproom

A tap house next to a grade school area... Wouldn't a regular theatre & community centre make more sense? Either way, boo creepy foot doctor, hooray beer! (A great business decision, it just comes across as poor community planning...) Go Quinpool.

Re: “Garrison Brewing announces The Oxford Taproom

Beer and snacks .... if only there was some kind of movie-like entertainment to round it out. Hmmmmm

Re: “Web to doorstep booze

Bob's Blue Bell refuse to deliver saying "its illegal" wich is grade A BS, not to mention not profitable...

I think given the new legislation this might be a sensible (and profitable) ???AND SAFER??? alternative.

Are there any cab companies / couriers that still function within that capacity?

Re: “The Dome turns 30 years old next week

I remember visiting in the mid-80s, My Apartment every time my US Coast Guard ship would pull into Halifax. It on the top of the list for many of my crew because it was a great place to get food and drink in the afternoon. It was relaxing. At night, the place was a different story!

Re: “Good Parma rises to the top(ping)

This stuff is awesome! Easily the best vegan parmesan I've tried, and a bottle lasts me for quite a while! I couldn't imagine eating spaghetti without it.

Re: “Candy review: Halloween Kisses

As someone who just ate whole bag in less than 24hrs I have to disagree with this opinion. I'm old though so that could be it.

Re: “Remembering Liz Feltham

As a very dear friend of Lizs, I once accompanied her to a book signing for Stephanie Domets first novel. Stephanie had been Lizs editor for many years. We each bought one of Stephanie's books with the intention of having Stephanie sign them. At that time, Stephanie was no longer Lizs editor and Stephanie had never met Liz either. At the last minute, Liz asked me to take her book up to Stephanie to be signed. When I told Stephanie that it was Lizs book, Stephanie looked all around trying to get a glimpse of Liz but she had walked outside to wait for me to join her with the signed book. Ahhhh . . . the elusive Liz! I am honoured to have accompanied her on some of her review visits. Liz is missed. We lost a bright shining light on Monday.

Coast Team

Thank you very much for publishing this article. Liz really enjoyed her time with the paper and often talked about everyone she met (and didnt meet) there. The article met a lot to me and our family

Re: “Remembering Liz Feltham

I was lucky enough to have Liz & Mike to supper on more than one occasion. Liz twice blogged about meals she had at our place. They were very kind and generous, just like she was, and I hold them very close. She was a wonderful friend.
