5 Easy Steps (to the end of the world)

If you get to only one theatre production before year-end, make it Zuppa Theatre's newest.

There's so much great theatre happening in Halifax right now that you'd be hard pressed to see it all. But if you only see one play this year, make it Zuppa Theatre's 5 Easy Steps (to the end of the world). It's an original, haunting piece that will stick with you long after you've left the misty confines of its Brewery Market stage. Set on the last night before the end of the world, it brings together three sad and lonely people whose lives have been intertwined---for good and bad---since high school. The music by Jason Michael MacIsaac and David Christensen is both catchy and soul-touching, and the dancing is brilliant, breathtaking, burn-your-candle-at-both-ends-'cause-the end-is-nigh fantastic. When one of the characters says, "I don't want to go," I guarantee you'll be thinking, "I don't want you to go, too."

To November 13, Tue to Sun 8pm, Saturday matinees at 2pm, Brewery Market, 1496 Lower Water Street, $25/$20, [email protected], zuppatheatre.com
