Hot summer nights

Need a fresh summer drink to go with your fresh summer schedule? Check out these spots for the cool deal.

Patios are open, the sun is high in the sky well after work and our Hot Summer Guide is in your hands---all signs that point to summer, which means appropriate drinking is to be had. Blender drinks---and frozen concoctions---are a summer affair, and we've called up three spots that have yummy options for you, as well as decent patios to spend your drinking time. –Holly Gordon

Bitter End
This Argyle Street patio is where you can get frosty blender drinks such as strawberry and lime margaritas, strawberry daiquiris and a Bellini---peach Schnapps, vodka, peach puree and cranberry juice all tossed together. A fruitful punch for a hot summer's day. 1572 Argyle Street, 425-3039

Cellar Bar & Grill (Bedford)
Cellar boasts a rooftop patio and a first-floor patio, where you can order some food and summery blends that mirror the Bitter End's---margaritas and daiquiris---but also offer piña coladas and a frozen fuzzy navel, which was described as "like a slushy." We'll take it. 1516 Bedford Highway, 835-1592

Argyle Bar & Grill
With one of the largest rooftop bars in the city---Mexicali Rosa's new digs stand as a rival---Argyle's frozen velvet berry drink is something you should try. Fruity from the strawberry mix and creamy from the Talea liqueur, it's a different taste than the usual blender drinks---which the Argyle still serves. 1575 Argyle Street, 492-8844
