This is Plaskett’s second songwriting award this year—he nabbed an ECMA in May. “The Songwriter award is a special honour and in my heart I share it with my friend, Matthew Grimson, who we lost this year,” says Plaskett. “Matthew was the most prolific songwriter I’ve ever known. His words, imagination and honesty have influenced me, and many others who had the privilege of knowing him, greatly.”
