Evolve Fitness started off as a place for private personal training eight years ago, but it evolved (ha ha) when it expanded to include bootcamp workouts four years later. “We’re not military style at all,” says owner Mathew Benvie. “We just kind of become friends with everybody and it’s a motivating environment that way, rather than the yelling option.” Benvie originally had aspirations of being a teacher or coach, but his enthusiasm for fitness led him to want to help people learn about it. “It’s easy to fall in love with it again with the clients and just kind of getting to hang out with really cool and interesting people all day.”
