Things have never been busier in the Dhaba Casual Fine Dining family. Not only is the restaurant serving up a steady stream of dedicated diners, but its sibling Dhaba Sweets & Spice Shoppe is growing so rapidly that it’s recently taken over more space in its Bayers Lake home. “We’re filling a void,” says Faizal Junus, whose family runs the businesses. He says freshness, quality and consistency are what makes Dhaba a repeat winner in the Best of Halifax (this is its fourth score). “We try to make every experience pleasant,” he adds. “We have 11 people who work in the kitchen, but my wife oversees all of the final tests.”
