At 32 years old, Taz Records has been Halifax’s premiere spot for the best vinyl, live pop-up shows and the most informed music-loving staff out there. “Really, Taz is so awesome because of how awesome Halifax is,” says co-owner Jimmy Donnelly. “I’m always very grateful we win this thing because we try to make Taz as good as it can be and it’s nice to see that it’s appreciated. I take that seriously. Taz is fresh every week, and we have a top-notch staff who come from different tastes and backgrounds and that’s a big part of it, too.”
