The better you pack, the shorter the time moving and the less money you’ll end up spending, advises Carlisle Norwood. The Dalhousie grad founded Freshman Services five years ago as a co-op, which has since hired on 12 co-op students and employed many other college kids looking for labour. Norwood says while students are the moving company’s bread and butter, they do the heavy lifting for each and every customer. “The biggest thing is caring about our clients,” he says, “and also valuing our employees.” Just remember to lift with your legs, guys!
