But with great Coast accolades comes great responsibility, and the comic purveyors are proud of their long history promoting the diversity mainstream comics are only now embracing. “We were the first comic store to do a ladies’ night, and now that’s spread all across the States and over the world,” says owner Calum Johnston. “There’s some great comics out there for all readers. You don’t have to be the Big Bang Theory, nebbish dude.”
