“It’s been a really busy year,” says Sonic Concerts’ Erin McGuire. “More than anything, we’ve had a really great variety of things coming through, from big rock to family acts.” The city’s best concert promoter (for a few years running) brought incredible artists to the city this year, with upcoming big-ticket concerts Judas Priest, Steel Panther and Measha Brueggergosman. “We had the really successful Bahamas show, Dan Mangan, we’re doing our third round of Hey Rosetta! shows, NOFX, The Tragically Hip and the Shore Club shows with Matt Mays and Joel Plaskett, which have now become a tradition,” she says. “It’s a bit of everything, which is nice.”
